By Air
The airport serving the Syracuse metropolitan area is Syracuse Hancock International Airport. Call individual airlines for flight information. There is no general airport shuttle service that goes directly to and from the airport (though many hotels have shuttles). Students who need to reach the airport can do so by calling a taxi service. For return trips to campus, there is a taxi service that leaves the airport.
By Train or Bus
The William F. Walsh Regional Transportation Center (RTC) houses both the train and bus station. Amtrak, Greyhound, Trailways, and Megabus have services from Syracuse. Centro public buses run from campus to the Regional Transportation Center on a regular basis.
If you are attending an in-person JDi residency at Dineen Hall, you will be permitted to park in the Raynor Lot at no cost with a provided parking pass.
Hotels & Transportation
Parking: If you are planning to park on campus, you will be parking in the Raynor lot, which is the open air lot behind the law school.
Campus Shuttle: With your SUID, you can take the Blue or Orange campus shuttles from the hotels if you prefer not to walk. If you are staying at Skyler or Parkview, you can also ask at the front desk if their driver is available. The Skyler and Sheraton hotels are a ten minute (1/2 mile) walk from Dineen Hall. Parkview is about 1 mile from Dineen. If you still need to order an SUID, please use the photo link.
Please navigate to the Blackboard JDi Student Center under Residencies/Hotels for residency and hotel information.
Local Public Transportation
Local Public Transportation
Central New York is served by Centro bus lines. Many Centro buses travel through the Syracuse University on a regular basis and travel to destinations such as the the Regional Transportation Center, Destiny USA shopping mall, and other locations frequented by SU students, including downtown Syracuse. From the College Place bus stop, hop on the free Connective Corridor bus and stop at Armory Square for some food, shopping, and entertainment.
Centro also runs a comprehensive campus shuttle service.
Centro has some useful tools available for students and visitors—a Bus Tracker and a Trip Planner. The Bus Tracker allows for real time tracking of each bus route and provides an estimated time of arrival at specific bus stops. The Trip Planner allows users to enter their location and destination, date and time, and provides itineraries based on that information.
