Ted Pearce L'77Theodore Pearce L’77 | Franchising Law & Agreements

Ted Pearce is senior counsel with the law firm of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP. He focuses his practice on franchising and distribution, concentrating on government regulation, transactions, and franchise relationship issues. Prior to joining Bradley, Pearce was the general counsel for Driven Brands, LLC,. At Driven Brands he spent 30 years managing the legal affairs of large global franchise systems, including Meineke Car Care Centers Inc., MAACO Auto Painting, and Econo Lube & Tune. In his capacity as general counsel for these brands, he handled a variety of transaction, governmental affairs, and litigation matters, including landmark litigation matters defining the legal relationship between the franchisor and franchisee, and the ability of a franchisor to recover future royalties upon a franchisee’s termination of their franchise agreement.

Pearce is a frequent speaker at the ABA Franchise Forum and the International Franchise Association. He is the author of numerous publications on franchise related issues. He is a 1977 graduate of Syracuse University College of Law.

Shannon Gardner is the Associate Dean for Online Education.  A Teaching Professor who has been a member of the faculty since 2010, Professor Gardner also teaches in the JDi, JDr, and LL.M. programs.
